SUSI Partners (SUSI) and Pacific Impact Development (Pacific Impact)  have forged a dynamic partnership to establish the Sustainable Pacific Impact Renewable Energy (SPIRE) platform, launching a transformative initiative in Southeast Asia. This collaborative venture focuses on developing utility-scale renewable energy assets across the Philippines, Vietnam, Indonesia, Cambodia, Laos, and other strategic markets. SPIRE prioritizes the greenfield development of solar photovoltaic (PV), wind, and hydro assets, from financing to construction and operation. Infunde Development was established by a seasoned team to compete for the development services contract with InfraCo Asia, a division of the Private Infrastructure Development Group. Infunde's success was marked by surpassing 60 competing bids.

Commencing in 2016, InfraCo Asia's Development Services Agreement (DSA) initiated a long-term partnership with Infunde, dedicated to identifying opportunities and spearheading the development of their renewable energy platforms.

Pacific Impact Development Formed

Pacific Impact Signs Joint Venture with SUSI

Pacific Impact Development signed a management agreement with SUSI Partners, establishing SPIRE (Sustainable Pacific Impact Renewable Energy). This strategic alliance marked the commencement of new project development and acquisitions.

James Timko

Managing Director

James is a professional engineer with project development experience in construction, financing, engineering design, operations, and commissioning in EPC, Owner’s and Lender’s Engineer, Owner/Operator and Developer roles. James has managed projects with procurements in excess of 1.8 Billion US dollars.

 As a founder and Managing Director of Pacific Impact Development, James is a strong communicator, who maintains focus on safety and environment through development, design, construction, and operation. James has had a local presence in Asia since the late 90s with international market leaders, such as Bechtel, WorleyParsons, Lanco International and Aboitiz Power.

KC Lam

Chief Financial Officer

KC has over 35 years of finance IT and operational experience with considerable expertise in business transformation, compliance and risk management, stakeholder management and leadership. He has worked in various senior finance positions in the IT (NCR), FMCG (San Miguel, Societe BIC and Fonterra) and energy industries (El Paso and Tyco/Pentair) and has FP&A, controllership and project management roles at the country, regional and corporate levels in Malaysia, USA, Singapore, Hong Kong and China. 

He has considerable experience in start-up operations in Asia and has setup, merged, integrate and liquidated companies in offices across Asia. KC is a member of ACCA (UK), a member of the Singapore (ISCA) and the Malaysia (MIA) professional accountancy body.

Fah Bongdhanasinpanjaya

Renewable Energy Strategist & Investment Specialist

Fah is a seasoned professional with a strong focus on renewable energy development and investment transactions across Southeast Asia. With extensive experience spanning multiple key markets including Indonesia, Vietnam, the Philippines, and Cambodia, Fah has played a pivotal role in advancing high-impact clean energy projects such as solar PV, wind, and hydro assets.  In addition to her work in renewable energy, Fah has managed investments in fintech startups in Bangkok and Indonesia, and has been involved in distressed investment transactions of infrastructure companies. Her expertise extends to advisory services, new business development, and structuring and executing cross-border mergers and acquisitions, particularly within the power sector and her geographic specialization.  Fah graduated summa cum laude with a B.B.A. from the International College of Burapha University, majoring in Finance and Banking.  

Darwin Deato

Philippines

Darwin, a trailblazer in renewable energy, leads the charge as President of Pacific Impact Energy Corp. With a vision for sustainable progress, Darwin spearheads the development, construction, and operation of solar, wind, and other renewable energy projects in the Philippines. Concurrently serving as Vice President of Pacific Impact Development, he evaluates and cultivates project opportunities across Southeast Asia. With over a decade of expertise in renewable energy, Darwin navigates every aspect of projects, from inception to divestment. Prior to his role at Pacific Impact, Darwin held leadership positions at Infunde Development and Solar Philippines, bringing a wealth of experience. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of the Philippines and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from De La Salle University Manila.

Emmanuel John (EJ) Borromeo

Project Development Officer

EJ brings a wealth of experience in engineering and infrastructure management, cultivated over several years at PrimeWater Infrastructure Corporation, where he demonstrated exceptional leadership in overseeing CAPEX projects. His meticulous attention to detail and strong contract negotiation skills distinguish him as a leader in the industry.

EJ’s academic foundation is solidified by a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of the Philippines Diliman, further enhancing his technical prowess. His expertise in site identification and project implementation will be instrumental as we continue to champion sustainable innovation and growth in renewable energy development across Southeast Asia.

Elizabeth Secreto

Project Development & ESG Officer

Elizabeth is a licensed Chemical Engineer specialising in environmental management. Elizabeth leads our efforts in embedding Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) principles into every phase of our renewable energy projects, ensuring we meet the highest environmental standards while delivering long-term value to the communities we serve. Passionate and highly motivated, Elizabeth excels in navigating complex regulatory requirements and collaborating with agencies to support our commitment to sustainable and responsible energy development. Her dedication to high-quality work and timely delivery aligns seamlessly with Pacific Impact’s mission to advance renewable energy solutions while maintaining strict environmental stewardship.

Mary Kristine Bañez

Finance and Operations Executive

Mary is an accomplished finance and operations executive with 10 years of experience, boasting a diverse background encompassing systems management, operations, finance, procurement, and research. Her expertise lies in crafting value-added business processes and forging strategic partner solutions to optimize company productivity. With a tenure at Infunde Development, Convergys Philippines and a wealth of prior roles, Mary exemplifies adaptability, a steadfast commitment to continuous personal and professional growth, and an unwavering can-do attitude. 

Mary’s academic journey began at Miriam College, where she majored in Behavioral Sciences, graduating with distinction. She later pursued advanced studies in Education Management at the University of the Philippines College Baguio, demonstrating her commitment to academic excellence and professional advancement.

Sovathara Heng

Cambodia

Sovathara brings the ability to drive impactful projects to completion. With 18 years’ experience in value chain and market analyses, along with a sharp focus on business partnership strategies, Sovathara leads the development of renewable energy projects in Cambodia, driving sustainable solutions forward with efficiency and excellence. As the former director at Khmer Cold Chain, he was instrumental in building the business from concept through construction to a fully operational first-of-its-kind decentralized cross-docking and cold storage facility, demonstrating his exceptional leadership and operational prowess. Sovathara holds a Master of Public Management from Ecole de National Administration in France, alongside a Master of Entrepreneurship, Project Management, and Management Innovation from Lion 2 and Lille University, France. He previously held leadership roles in Cambodia at Marie Stopes International, Rosewood, and Cambodia Agricultural Value Chain Program.

Rossan Chem

Project Development Analyst

Rossan Chem is a dynamic project development professional with a robust background in financial advisory, due diligence, and business analysis. With extensive experience at Deloitte and Forte Insurance, Rossan has honed her expertise in financial modelling and market research. She has a proven track record of supporting cross-border transactions and identifying strategic opportunities across diverse industries, including renewable energy.

Her academic journey is distinguished by a Global BBA from ESSEC Business School. Fluent in English and German and with a working knowledge of Khmer, Rossan brings a unique international perspective to her work.

Remi Berthet

Laos – Hydro Technology Specialist

Rémi has over 12 years’ experience in hydropower project development in South East Asia with a demonstrated track record of project management at all stages of the hydropower development cycle, from exploration, to construction. He successfully developed the first 100% private hydropower project in communist Laos, Nam Nhone HPP. Serving as country manager for several utilities, he managed the project development of over 300MW of small and medium size hydropower projects in Lao PDR.

 He is bilingual in French and English, proficient in Russian and Laotian. Rémi holds a Master in Business Engineering from Grenoble University.

Erik Peper

Indonesia

Erik has over 30 years’ experience mainly gained across Southeast Asia in relation to development, construction, financing, management, design, engineering, operations, and commissioning of energy assets. He has managed construction and operations of projects valued well over US$100 million.

 He holds a bachelor’s degree in marine engineering and is a professional engineer. Erik has held senior management roles in South East Asia at Wartsila, Rolls-Royce, Navigat Energy and Max Power.
