Albay Wind Project Receives Green Lane Endorsement

We are proud to announce that our 100 MW Albay Wind Power Project has been granted Green Lane status by the Philippine Board of Investments (BOI) under Executive Order No. 18 — a national recognition that positions the project for accelerated permitting and implementation.

This milestone highlights Pacific Impact’s continued progress in advancing bankable renewable energy projects in the Philippines, while reaffirming the government’s confidence in our commitment to support the country’s energy transition.

The Green Lane endorsement places the Albay Wind Project on a priority pathway for approvals, ensuring:

  • Streamlined permitting processes across national government agencies (NGAs) and local government units (LGUs)
  • Reduced bureaucratic delays
  • Enhanced coordination between stakeholders at regional and national levels

This official support underscores the project’s strategic importance in achieving the Philippines’ renewable energy and decarbonization goals.

With nearly two years of LiDAR data and six months of met mast measurements, the Albay Wind Project has demonstrated consistently excellent wind speeds and strong generation potential.
Key milestones achieved include:

  • Comprehensive wind resource validation
  • Progress on land acquisition and community engagement
  • Positive coordination with both national and regional agencies

The project is now entering the final stages of pre-construction, making it one of the most investment-ready wind opportunities in the Philippines.

We are especially proud to be developing this project in Bicol, a region with remarkable renewable energy potential and a collaborative approach to sustainable growth.

“The support we’ve received from agencies and LGUs in Albay and across Bicol has been outstanding. Their shared vision for a cleaner, more resilient energy future has helped move this project forward faster and stronger,”
said James Timko, Pacific Impact Managing Director.

A Compelling Opportunity for Investors

The combination of verified wind data, Green Lane endorsement, and active local support positions the Albay Wind Project as a compelling, low-risk renewable investment with the potential for strong, long-term returns.
